About This Tool

This tool checks whether key network services on a server are accessible from the outside. It tests five common ports: HTTP (port 80) for web traffic, FTP (port 21) for file transfers, POP3 (port 110) for email retrieval, SMTP (port 25) for sending email, and MySQL (port 3306) for database connections. If a service shows as inaccessible, it could mean the service is down, a firewall is blocking the port, or the server is configured to not expose that port publicly.

How to Use

Enter a domain name and click Go. The tool attempts to open a socket connection to each of the five service ports on that server. If the connection succeeds, the service is reported as accessible. If it times out or is refused, the service is reported as having a problem.

Tips & Best Practices

It is normal and expected for MySQL (port 3306) to show as inaccessible on well-configured servers. Database ports should not be exposed to the public internet. Many modern servers block FTP in favor of SFTP (port 22). A failed HTTP check is the most concerning result since it means the web server itself is not responding.
